Lynne's current painting project is a series of Pink Chair Paintings. The November show has now closed, but there is lots more to come, including a showing at the Scala Art Center in January as well as a four month display at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in Boston and a trip to Cushing Maine,where the project was born,  for an "Art in the Barn" weekend in August! Lynne is writing a blog about the ongoing process and is posting pictures of locations that inspire her and paintings as they are done. LYNNE SCHULTE LAVALLEY, Artist and Teacher
Lynne Schulte LaValley has over thirty years in working as an art teacher in a wide range of media. She is known particularly for her ability to connect with and assist teens in their college portfolio preparation, and in her ability to explain the basics to a beginner. Her message is "Of course you can do it - let me help you get started." She is encouraging yet has an expectation of excellence that students are able to reach, tailoring the instruction to the individual need.
